先週、先々週と2週続けて先生の体調が悪くて休校としておりましたので、今日は久しぶりの授業でした！8月に入って夏休み本番ですが、英語の勉強はしっかり続けましょう！
Show & Tellのテーマは「変な/特殊なIngredientを含む食べ物」でした。パクチーを含んだコーラ味の飲み物、Goldが中に入ったチョコレートケーキ、カレーが中身のパンケーキなど色々と不思議な食べ物が紹介されました。
それでは、生徒の発表をいくつか紹介します。

A dish with interesting and very weird ingredients that I have learnt about is Escargot. Escargot is a dish mostly made out of snails. This is an European recipe. The snails they mostly use are called Helix snail. The snails are cooked and have a lot of parsley and garlic butter on top of it. The name Escargot means snail in French. Escargot's ingredients are snails, parsley and garlic butter.

An ingredient that is strange is an Egg Replacer. For example, usually chocolate cake needs egg, flower, sugar, baking powder and chocolate or cocoa powder. But I cannot eat egg so my mom used a special ingredient. The name is Egg Replacer. An Egg Replacer is a thing that can replace egg with Egg Replacer so she can make chocolate cake that is egg free.
